Improve Alignment, Swing and Ball Positioning

There’s A Better Way To Practice And Play!

Align your Feet, Shoulders, Eyes, and Swing

  • Place a Golf Smoke alignment line anywhere you would use an alignment stick, better yet place a Golf Smoke alignment line anywhere you couldn’t place an alignment stick, near the ball and contact zone
  • Free from the limitations of traditional alignment sticks, Golf Smoke lets you place an alignment line right where it matters most….near the ball and in the hitting zone.
  • Unique versatility allows for optimal visibility of the alignment lines throughout the swing, allowing your eyes to remain focused exactly where they should be for optimal accuracy and consistency.
  • Golf Smoke allows golfers to see their true ball position more clearly, making it easier to get correct, consistent, and repeatable ball positioning which is key to consistent ball striking.
  •  Never worry about hitting another alignment stick again. Experience the freeing feeling of training with an alignment aid that removes that thought from the swing process.

Golf Smoke Alignment Lines can be customized for different points of emphasis

Complete the Golf Smoke training drills below to improve your swing, alignment, and ball positioning

Simply Wipe Away Your Training Marks After Use

Use the Golf Smoke alignment lines to check ball position and to ensure feet are square.

FADE (Left to Right Ball Flight):

Move front foot a couple inches back from square = slightly open stance

STRAIGHT (Straight Ball Flight):

Feet square to the line = neutral stance

DRAW (Right to Left Ball Flight):

Move back foot a couple inches back from square = slightly closed stance

Golf Smoke Drill #1 – The “+” Drill

The Golf Smoke “+” drill helps golfers be more consistent with alignment and ball position, resulting in more consistent ball striking.

  1. First lay a golf club down on your target line.
  2. Using your Golf Smoke bottle, draw a line about 12 inches long down your target line.
  3. Then draw another line about the same length perpendicular to the first line, so that they create a “+”.
  4. Place the golf ball at the center of the “+”.
  5. Your divot should be right on the Golf Smoke line in front of the ball. Your divot path should align with the Golf Smoke line going toward your target.
  • Great ball strikers are consistent with their alignment & ball position.
  • Using the Golf Smoke alignment line pointing between your legs will allow you to see your true ball position more clearly, making it easier to get correct, consistent, and repeatable ball positioning.

Golf Smoke Drill #2 – The “Downward Strike” Drill

The Golf Smoke “Downward Strike” drill helps golfers have the correct angle at impact with their irons

  1. Using Golf Smoke, make a line on the ground about 1–2 inches behind the ball and perpendicular to the target line.
  2. Then simply hit balls without hitting the Golf Smoke line. If you swing with the correct angle, you will make solid contact and you won’t hit the line.
  • This drill teaches golfers to deliver the club head with a descending motion, promoting a forward shaft lean that all great ball strikers boast.

Golf Smoke Drill #3 – The “Takeaway” Drill

The Golf Smoke “Takeaway” drill promotes the correct swing path on the takeaway of the swing

  1. First lay a golf club down on your target line. Using your Golf Smoke bottle, make a line 6 inches long. Pick your club up from the ground and place your ball so that the line is behind your ball.
  2. When taking your backswing, the Golf Smoke training line, gives a visual guide to better see the path of your club head on the takeaway of your swing.
  • A takeaway that starts OUTSIDE of this line creates an outside-in swing path, promoting a fade or slice ball flight.
  • A takeaway that starts along this line creates a straighter swing path, promoting a straighter ball flight.
  • A takeaway that starts INSIDE of this line creates an inside-out swing path, promoting a draw or hook ball flight.

Golf Smoke Drill #4 – The “Path” Drill

The Golf Smoke “Path” drill gives golfers visual feedback with alignment, at takeaway and at impact. Helping golfers create a straighter, more consistent swing path

  1. First lay a golf club down on your target line.
  2. Using your Golf Smoke bottle, make a line about 6 inches long 2 inches inside of your ball and another line the same length 2 inches outside of your ball.
  • With this Golf Smoke drill, your goal is to hit golf balls so that your divot travels in the same direction as the path, in between the lines.
